The Beth Myriam in Nepal was established in 2009 by Christiane Plomben and was dedicated to help children. It is placed in the Godawari slum in Kathmandu. They feed 198 children from Sunday to Friday. The children get a warm meal a day containing of bulgar (a rice with vegetables and red beans together cooked, noodles with vegetables, warm milk with bread and egg, fried rice with chicken, porridge with oat and banana, rice with lentiles (Dahl-bath) and vegetables. The Beth Myriam also includes a ‘rolling Beth Myriam‘ in Surkhet, one of the 75 districts of Nepal located 600 km west of Kathmandu.
