The Brasília BM located at the very poor village of Itapoã, close to the capital was opened in 2009. Before that it was located at another needy location, Recanto das Emas. Three days a week 600 people are served soup there but for some of the BM beneficiaries the meal is brought to their homes. Ten volunteers prepare the soup while three other team members take turns to coordinate work on the weekdays the soup is served.
Nowadays a gynecologist gives medical care to the community’s ladies at the Brasília BM and a pediatrician takes care of the babies. Needy mothers and their babies receive a kit with clothes and nursing stuff at the BM. Volunteers also evangelize to the kids.
A TLIG Prayer Group meets weekly at the Brasília BM. People who attend the group read the Bible, pray and meditate on the TLIG Messages. Many of them testify to the changes that are occurring in their lives as a consequence of going to the BM.
